Heres the downloadable PDF chart for the above colour work pattern Cube Confetti; an alternative way to use self striping yarn using an optical effect that creates cubes as you look at the confetti shapes.
The pattern repeats every 8sts so you will need to cast on in multiples of 8. I find I have to increase my number of stitches when I knit colour work charts (I usually c/o 64sts approx but for this case I went up to 72sts and its looking great size wise) as the tension can be higher when floating yarn but that will differ knitter to knitter depending on how you handle your yarn. In my sample above I used a self striping sock (400m/100g) yarn called 'Cosy Nights' from my own Etsy shop HERE and I also used a second yarn, a natural white sock yarn, to create the contrast to the cube pattern. Although the first yarn is multi coloured I considered it as being black to prevent confusing myself with colour changes whilst knitting the chart which is black & white blocks. It took a couple of inches into the knit to be convinced that it was working so keep at it until you have enough of the pattern to create the optical effect. I'm very happy for you to share links to this page with people (on your blog/social media etc) who you think might like to try this chart but please don't reproduce the chart. happy knitting!
